Job summary

Hunter Engineering Company in Bridgeton, MO is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op for a Spring 2027 term (January 2027 – May 2027). You will design fixturing to support welding, machining, testing and assembly, generate BOMs, and test fixtures while gaining experience in manufacturing processes and analysis.

The role offers real-world experience, hands-on prototyping, and opportunities for professional growth within a family-owned American-made leader in automotive service equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 25 GPA must be on resume.
• Majors: Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering.
• 3D solid modeling experience with PTC Creo preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with machining and metal fabrication processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design fixturing to support welding, machining, testing and assembly operations.
• Generate drawings and bills of materials, purchase components, and assemble and test designed fixtures.
• Fabricate custom parts to support operations using equipment such as a drill press or shear.
• Investigate and purchase tools and equipment.
• Analyze manufacturing areas for process improvements such as part design changes, fixturing needs, layout changes and work instruction updates.
• Support prototype builds for new product development.
• Additional duties as assigned.
