Job summary

RTX in Puerto Rico invites engineering students to join a full-time CO-OP at the Santa Isabel site, Jan–June. You will support daily manufacturing needs, emphasizing process improvements, and learn under a Manufacturing Engineering coach to prevent recurrence of issues.

You will set up and test equipment, read schematics, and contribute to corrective actions while promoting mistake-proofing in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• English communication skills required for interactions with customers and coworkers.
• Three or more years of engineering study toward BS in Engineering.
• Good reading, writing and math skills; comfortable with computers daily.
• Ability to read assembly/test instructions, schematics and prints.
• CAD design capability with NX or SolidWorks preferred.
• Programming capability in Java, PHP, MATLAB preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manufacturing and test equipment.
• Test electromechanical units following procedures and prints.
• Verify test equipment configuration for special tests.
• Record test results and interpret data.
• Read engineering prints and schematics and follow instructions.
• Use computer systems for work instructions and labor charges.
• Support corrective actions and promote mistake-proofing solutions.
• Maintain accurate records and handle multiple tasks.
