Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) is seeking an Manufacturing Engineering Intern in Byesville, OH, to assist with process improvements and tooling design across plant operations. You’ll work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to tackle production challenges and support Lean initiatives while gaining hands‑on exposure to fuel system products.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program or higher or recently graduated within 1 year of the position start date.
• Must be part of a Co‑Op Internship program through your current college/university.
• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Controls Engineering, or similar discipline.

Responsibilities

• Draft and design tooling, fixtures, and workstations to support manufacturing needs and process improvements.
• Conduct industrial engineering activities, including time studies, plant layouts, ergonomic assessments, and workstation development.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, vendors, and leadership on product specifications and process enhancements.
• Apply problem‑solving techniques to analyze production issues and develop practical solutions for implementation.
• Support engineering activities related to plant layouts, equipment verification, and gauging.
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including routings, BOMs, and work instructions.
