Job summary

Entegris, Inc. in Hillsboro, OR is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Co‑op for the Spring 2027 season.

This 6‑month assignment offers hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced CMP Polishing Pads production environment, collaborating with engineers, technicians, and operators to support production, quality, and continuous improvement. You will develop skills in data analysis, DOE, SPC, Lean Six Sigma, and manufacturing operations, contribute to safety and productivity projects, and present findings

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Materials Science or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred.
Sophomore, Junior or Senior in good standing.

Responsibilities

Support manufacturing engineers in sustaining safe, efficient, and high‑quality production processes.
Collect, organize, and analyze manufacturing data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Assist with root cause investigations related to quality issues, equipment performance, scrap reduction, and process deviations.
Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on Safety, Quality, and Productivity metrics.
Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions, control plans, standard operating procedures, and visual management tools.
Support SPC activities and process capability assessments.
Assist in engineering trials, DOE, equipment qualifications, process validations, and new product introductions.
Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to improve performance.
Present project findings to engineering and site leadership teams.
