Job summary

Amsted Rail Granite City, IL is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op to join the Engineering Department. The role blends hands-on floor work with office engineering tasks, collaborating across teams to identify improvements and support production efficiency.

The position requires a BS pursuit in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering and the ability to work ~20 hours weekly during school and full-time in summer, with an hourly pay range of $18–$20. Eligible for overtime as non-exempt.

• Pursuing a BS degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Able to work close to 20 hours per week during school and full-time during summer.

Responsibilities

• Work on the manufacturing floor and in engineering office to identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, safety and other teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Support business objectives through ongoing production function improvements.
• Engage with cross-functional teams throughout the product and process lifecycles.
