Job summary

Morton Industries, LLC is seeking a manufacturing tooling engineer to plan, design and integrate tooling, fixtures, and equipment into the manufacturing process, and drive improvements related to manufacturing efficiency.

The role is full-time in East Peoria, IL with travel under 10%. Responsibilities include meeting customer specifications, assisting in tool design, and supporting quality and cost-reduction initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience with tooling, fixtures, and equipment design in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and maintenance coordination.
• Ability to analyze methods to improve quality and reduce costs.
• Strong problem solving, teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze methods required to manufacture product to customer specifications.
• Aid in the design of tooling, jigs, fixtures, dies and support equipment.
• Provide sketches, prints or drawings to design department for tooling production.
• Assist supervisors and operators to improve quality and process capability.
• Coordinate with maintenance on new installations and major troubleshooting.
