Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC seeks a Senior R&D Engineer - Converting to advance tissue-converting technology at the Neenah Technical Center. You will connect tissue-sheet structure and material properties with converting operations, guiding product performance and manufacturability through hands-on lab and pilot work.

Lead experimental design, partner with Operations and Product Development, and help translate laboratory insights into commercially viable tissue-converting solutions while mentoring peers

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 5+ years in R&D for converting or web-based manufacturing.
Hands-on lab or pilot-scale experiments with DOE and data analysis.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

Lead tissue-converting research linking structure to performance.
Design and run lab and pilot studies using scientific methods.
Collaborate with Operations and Product Development to translate insights into scalable technologies.
Mentor colleagues and build reusable knowledge across projects.
Identify and protect intellectual property through disclosures and patent activity.
