Key Responsibilities
  • Time Study Execution & Workflow Observation
  • Conduct detailed time-and-motion analyses on all relevant shop-floor processes under the NJT contract.
  • Perform on-site observations across both 1st and 2nd shifts to gather accurate, balanced, and comparable operational data.
  • Identify and document cycle times, process delays, operational bottlenecks, and non-value-added steps.
  • Data Collection & Industrial Engineering Analysis
  • Record, organize, and validate time study data using standard industrial engineering methodology.
  • Evaluate workflow layout, labor content distribution, and resource utilization efficiency.
  • Measure and analyze performance gaps between baseline standards and actual floor output.
  • Reporting, Documentation & Stakeholder Presentation
  • Synthesize raw data into clear, executive-ready presentations featuring data visualizations, trend charts, and improvement strategies.
  • Create standardized time sheets, standard operating procedure (SOP) documentation, and baseline reference guides as needed.
  • Present final findings, efficiency opportunities, and strategic recommendations to PME leadership and key project stakeholders.
  • Shop-Floor Collaboration
  • Partner closely with supervisors, floor operators, and management to understand operational constraints and existing workflows.
  • Conduct observations respectfully and strategically to ensure minimal disruption to daily production lines.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Core Expertise: Deep knowledge and hands-on experience in work measurement, time-and-motion studies, and core industrial engineering methodologies.
  • Industry Experience: Strong background in manufacturing environments required. Background in Railway, Automotive, or Aerospace manufacturing is highly preferred.
  • Shift Flexibility: Willingness and capability to work independently across both 1st and 2nd shifts as needed for observation.
  • Analytical Skills: Advanced data analysis skills, with high proficiency in converting raw floor metrics into concise management presentations and reports.
