Job summary

The Kinetic Group in Ozark, AL is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Technician to support Manufacturing Engineers with hands-on process work, testing, tooling, and transition of new processes into production. You will help analyze production issues, troubleshoot challenges, and ensure efficient, high-quality operations on the floor.

This role reports to the Director of Mfg Engineering and is based at the Ozark location. Strong grounding in machining, gaging, and process development is required.

Qualifications

• Skilled in machine setup, adjustment and operation.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of production processes, ability to run a variety of production machines.
• Knowledge of gaging techniques, ability to use micrometers, calipers, production gages.
• Good problem solving skills and analytical ability.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic writing skills (for status reports).
• Self-motivated and able to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Proficient with Outlook and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate efforts between engineering, shops, facilities, maintenance, vendors, tool inspection and manufacturing.
• Conduct process studies; observe/run equipment for trials and start-ups; collect and summarize data.
• Assist in process development, tooling inspection, BOM reviews, and capital project changes.
• Complete work orders, requisitions, and shop requests.
• Tool up and adjust machines; identify and resolve issues on the floor.
• Support implementation of new processes and machine designs by assembling and installing equipment.
• Perform product gauging and measurement tasks.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing processes and equipment; analyze failures.
• Assist engineers in solving complex problems.
