Job summary

Regal Rexnord is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer Tech III to perform complex diagnostics and multi-system troubleshooting in a fully onsite setting at its Monticello, Indiana location.

You will assist in grinding equipment setups, tooling ordering, and provide guidance to junior technicians while ensuring compliance with routing, prints, and safety standards. The role emphasizes problem-solving, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and a technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Three to five years technical experience; Green belt in 3 years.
• Travel may be required for runoff of new or rebuilt equipment.
• Familiarity with safety, quality and export control requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assign work to operators and ensure procedures and gaging methods are followed.
• Assist with setups and troubleshooting on grinding equipment; review job for routing and print compliance.
• Tackle complex diagnostics and multi-system issues independently.
• Mentor newer technicians and support process improvements.
• Coordinate with Engineering for new part setups, tooling and machine design changes.
• Perform first piece approval and operate precision measuring equipment.
• Follow safety, ethics, and environmental compliance policies.

Work Model

This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Under direction of Manufacturing Engineer Manager, performs and focus on complex diagnostics and multi-system troubleshooting. A Mfg. Engineer Tech III will be involved in complex, independent problem-solving and contributing to process improvement. Including various functions from setup of grinding equipment and assist in ordering of tooling necessary for the grinding operation. Will mentor newer technicians. Position may require some supervision coverage.

JOB DESCRIPTION (Key Responsibilities)

• Assigns work to appropriate S&O operator, and Operator B personnel, and instructs them as to proper procedures and gaging methods to be followed.
• Assist in setups and troubleshooting on grinding equipment (understand grind wheel capabilities, speeds and feeds) Providing second ok and review job to be compliant with production routing and/or print requirements.
• Takes on complex diagnostics and multi-system troubleshooting, solving harder, non-routine problems independently.
• May be involved in root cause analysis, process improvements, and mentoring newer technicians.
• Can handle complex, multi-system issues without constant supervision.
• Tackles unusual, cross-system failures that require deeper analysis.
• May identify and implement process improvements or changes.
• Work with Engineering for new part setups (machines and rates) as well as new machine design and application.
• Assist in management and order of grinding tooling (grinding wheels, diamonds, jaws, drivers, quills, diamond rolls).
• May have expanded safety authorization and the ability to approve certain corrective actions without immediate escalation.
• Perform first piece approval per set up approval process.
• Operate precision measuring equipment.
• Follow Ethics and Safety Programs.
• Adhere to all Export, Import and Supply Chain Security Policy requirements relevant to the position.
• Follow State and Federal Environmental Compliance Programs.
• Adhere to AS9100 Standards.
• Job duties include but are not limited to the above.
