Job summary

Regal Rexnord is seeking an OD Grind machinist to produce parts efficiently while meeting drawing/spec requirements. The role covers set-up, first article acceptance, and in-process inspection with a focus on reducing variation and waste.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of CNC grinding setup experience and precision measurement skills. Proficiency with inspection tools and adherence to AS9100/Lean/Six Sigma practices is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least three to five years' experience operating set-up on CNC grinding equipment.
• Skilled in the use of indicator, gauge, dial bores, and plate inspection methods for first article and in-process inspection of precision machined parts.
• Ability to maintain close tolerances (within .0003") of IDs, hold .0003 profile, roundness.
• Understanding of machine tool accuracies, tool offsets.
• Knowledge of cutting wheel feeds, speeds, and wheel life for aerospace grinding.
• Ability to follow verbal instructions and interpret blueprint and quality requirements.
• Ability to communicate with employees and management in a positive manner.
• Ability to lift a maximum of 25 lbs. (over 25 lbs. with assistance).
• Ideal candidate will have experience with AS9100, 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma.

Pay Range $22 - $28

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

OD Grind machinists are responsible for producing work in the most efficient manner while meeting the drawing/planning specification /requirements.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
