Job summary

Dover Fueling Solutions (DFS) in Austin, TX is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Tech II to support manufacturing engineering, review BOMs and routings, and assist with development, debugging, assembly and testing of new products.

The role collaborates with Quality, Maintenance and Production teams, provides guidance on preventive maintenance, participates in Lean and Six Sigma improvement initiatives, and helps train production staff while contributing to metric-driven performance.

Qualifications

• Completion of a High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years related experience or training in manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, and technical documents.
• Ability to read Engineering drawings and other technical documentation.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
• Able to be a team player and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to Manufacturing Engineers, Design Engineering, and production departments.
• Support development, routing, and implementation of manufacturing instructions to assemble products.
• Reviews and approves Engineering Change Orders for BOM structures and assigns labor hours to MES.
• Reviews documentation such as manufacturing procedures, BOMS, drawings, and routings.
• Assists with pFMEA development to identify failures and provides recommendations.
• Provides specialized training to production employees and guidance to production trainer.
• Assists in prototype development by debugging, modifications, assembly, and testing.
• Reports out metrics and KPIs and participates in Lean initiatives.
