Job summary

Fives Landis Corp. in Hagerstown, Maryland, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Technician (MET) to join its Quality Control team. This full-time, hybrid role requires strong hands-on expertise with CNC grinders, lathes, and mills, plus software control system setup and data documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience troubleshooting or programming CNC grinders, lathes, or mills.
• Associate degree in engineering or electronics or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Setup, start-up, inspection, and adjustments on machine systems.
• Document and compile data for customer and company during inspection.
• Operate and maintain instrumentation for analysis, troubleshoot machines.
• Load/download software to enable machine control systems.
• Perform machine capability studies and data collection.
• Verify and edit control logic; troubleshoot electronic control systems.
• Direct assembly floor technicians on start-up and quality documentation.

We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Technician who has the same desire to prove that industry can do it!

PAY RANGE: $25 - $45 per hour

At Fives we all have a part to play in achieving our common purpose. Your role will be to:

• Responsible for all mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software control system set-up, start-up, inspection, and adjustments on machine systems.
• Document and compile data required by both customer and company during and after the inspection process.
• Operation and maintenance of instrumentation for the analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of machines and identified problems; completes machine vibration analysis and report.
• Load and/or download software required to enable machine control systems to perform functions required to complete grinding cycle. Performs machine capability studies; programs and qualify data collection systems to analyze data.
• Verifies, edits and changes control logic; verifies, troubleshoots, repairs and adjusts electronic control systems that control machine operations.
• Directs work of others, mainly assembly floor technicians, on machine start-up, set-up, qualification, and machine hitlist and quality documentation book resolutions.

At Fives Landis Corp. and under the direction of the Process Controls Manager, you will join the Quality Control team.

We are seeking someone who has a minimum of 5 years of experience troubleshooting or programming CNC grinders/lathes/mills. Required minimum associate degree

in engineering or electronics; or approved equivalent degree or experience. If you are a self-starter, committed to an innovative work environment, then we are eager to change the world with you!
