Lockheed Martin Space in Sunnyvale, CA, seeks a Staff Manufacturing Engineer to join the Mechanical Manufacturing Center (MMC) electronics team. You will support SMT line activities and small electronic assemblies, driving efficient processes and manufacturing layouts in a collaborative, high-tech environment.

You will evaluate equipment, adopt new technologies, and contribute to continuous improvement through data analytics and SPC methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or other related degree from an accredited university.
• 5-10 years of manufacturing experience.
• Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
• Previous experience working with an SMT line.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies and production lines.
• Drive adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, CAM software) to improve efficiency, costs and quality.
• Create and analyze 3D model data to optimize manufacturing processes and digital work instructions.
• Leverage factory data to develop SPC approaches and data analytics for continuous improvement.
• Provide input to product design to optimize equipment and manufacturing techniques.

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Staff Manufacturing Engineer for a position in the Mechanical Manufacturing Center (MMC), located in Sunnyvale, CA. The MMC Manufacturing Engineering team supports a variety of production areas, including antenna fabrication, electronics, solar array assembly, traditional machining, mechanism assembly, composite fabrication, and structural assembly. The chosen candidate would join the electronics team and support an active SMT line and other small electronic assemblies.
Performs in a collaborative environment to develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling. Drives adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement. Creates and analyzes 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions. Leverages understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence. Evaluates performance (including IoT devices, etc.) of equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence. Leverages factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrates reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement. Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or other related degree from an accredited university
• 5-10 years of manufacturing experience

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $131100.00 - $243500.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
