Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree or a related Master’s degree.
  • U.S. Citizen and ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance.

Standard Job Description

Performs in a collaborative environment to develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling. Drives adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement. Creates and analyzes 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions. Leverages understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence. Evaluates performance (including IoT devices, etc.) of equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence. Leverages factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrates reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement. Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.

You will be the Senior Manufacturing Engineer for the Manufacturing Engineering group. Our team is responsible for delivering precise work instructions, advancing process automation, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Senior Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for converting complex designs into actionable production guidance and enhancing manufacturing efficiency across missile‑defense programs.

Your Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To
  • Translate engineering blueprints and parts lists into clear work instructions.
  • Develop and implement process automation and advanced manufacturing techniques.
  • Lead root‑cause corrective actions and Lean Six Sigma improvement projects.
  • Design and optimize processes to reduce cost, improve quality, and accelerate delivery.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials, or Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Position requires 3+ years of experience with a related Bachelor’s degree or a related Master’s degree.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Security Clear.
Desired Skills

  • Telecommuting :Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
  • Work Schedule :Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
  • Security Clearance :This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
  • Work Schedule :4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $81,600 - $143,865. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non‑represented full‑time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
