Next Matter, located in Midland, TX, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to assist in the development of solid rocket motor systems for hypersonic strike vehicles. In this full-time position, you will collaborate with engineering teams and oversee critical manufacturing processes, ensuring high-quality production and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering and at least three years of relevant experience in the aerospace or energetics field. The role includes test planning, working with volatile chemicals, and requires attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in the aerospace or energetics field with an emphasis on supporting technical operations.
  • Experience with CAD design of mechanical components.
  • Proficient with manufacturing metrology and quality assurance tools and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Operation / test planning and coordination for fast-paced, high-consequence testing operations.
  • Examine, interpret, and use drawings and regulated documentation and procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering to transform concepts into reality.

Skills

Experience building complex highly energetic aerospace components
Ability to work in a remote environment with limited support
Excellent communication skills
Superb focus and attention to detail

Education

Bachelor's or advanced degree in aerospace engineering, manufacturing engineering, materials engineering, mechanical engineering or physics
