Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to applications, interfaces, and data within SLA targets.
• Analyze recurring issues and participate in root cause analysis.
• Support major incident recovery activities and plant production needs.
• Maintain incidents, problems, and change records in ITSM.
• Support production workflows, electronics work instructions, genealogy, traceability, and MES processes.
• Assist with deployments, upgrades, patches, and testing activities.

Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Application Support Engineer with 3+ years of experience to join our dynamic Manufacturing Systems & Applications team. This position is ideal for a candidate with experience supporting, maintaining, and enhancing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES/MOM), SCADA platforms, and integrated manufacturing solutions within a production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day operational support for Siemens OpsCenter MOM, Ignition SCADA, and related manufacturing applications, resolving application issues, supporting system enhancements, performing root cause analysis, and collaborating with manufacturing, quality, engineering, automation, and IT teams to ensure maximum system availability, minimal impact to production operations, and continuous improvement in production efficiency, quality, and reliability.

Description / Essential Functions:

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for Siemens Opcenter MOM and Ignition SCADA applications.
• Monitor manufacturing application performance and proactively identify issues before they impact production.
• Troubleshoot and resolve applications, interface, and data-related incidents within SLA targets.
• Analyze recurring issues and participate in root cause analysis activities.
• Support major incident recovery activities and plant production needs.
• Maintain incidents, problems, and change records within the IT service management platform.
• Support production workflows, electronic work instructions, genealogy, traceability, and manufacturing execution processes.
• Configure and maintain master data, workflows, production models, and application settings.
• Assist with application deployments, upgrades, patches, and testing activities.

Ignition SCADA Support

• Support and maintain Ignition Gateway, Vision, and Perspective applications.
• Develop and modify HMI screens, reports, dashboards, alarms, and historian configurations.
• Monitor SCADA performance and resolve communication issues.
• Support data collection and visualization requirements for manufacturing operations.

Change & Release Management

• Participate in application deployments and release activities.
• Execute testing plans for system updates and enhancements.
• Ensure proper documentation and validation of changes.
• Support production cutovers and post-deployment monitoring.
• Identify opportunities to improve application stability and operational efficiency.
• Participate in Kaizen and digital manufacturing initiatives.
• Recommend automation opportunities to reduce manual activities.
• Develop and maintain support documentation, SOPs, and knowledge articles.

Requirements

Required Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in: Computer Science or Information Technology Engineering Related Technical Discipline
• 3-5 years of application support experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting MES/MOM, SCADA, or manufacturing applications.
• Experience with production support, incident management, and troubleshooting.
• Experience working within 24x7 manufacturing operations.
