Description

We are looking for a talented Manufacturing Engineer – Senior to join our team in Columbus, IN. In this role, you will:

  1. Ensure Safety Compliance: Create and implement manufacturing processes that meet safety requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
  2. Achieve Manufacturing Goals: Drive the achievement of manufacturing and business goals, ensuring product specifications are met.
  3. Improve Equipment and Processes: Enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing equipment and processes using your manufacturing knowledge.
  4. Utilize Continuous Improvement Tools: Leverage continuous improvement tools and follow Cummins standards to drive ongoing enhancements.
  5. Develop Standards and Methods: Lead the development of manufacturing standards and working methods for consistency and quality.
  6. Influence Stakeholders: Use your communication skills to influence external stakeholders, business leaders, and team members.
  7. Manage Project Assignments: Lead specific project assignments with internal and external resources for successful outcomes.
  8. Coach and Maintain Relationships: Support stakeholder development and foster a positive work environment through relationship management and coaching.
Responsibilities

  7. Apply manufacturing knowledge to implement process improvements.
  8. Document manufacturing processes clearly for standardization.
  9. Design tools and fixtures for effective manufacturing.

  11. Drive continuous improvement to reduce waste and costs.
  12. Design ergonomic workspaces to ensure safety and efficiency.
  13. Solve problems systematically with data-based solutions.
  14. Design efficient, safe, and ergonomic operator workstations.
Qualifications

Education, Licenses, Certifications: Degree in STEM or related field, or equivalent experience. Licensing may be required for compliance.

Experience: Intermediate relevant work experience.

Additional Information

This role primarily supports Cold Test cells at CMEP and involves additional Manufacturing Engineering responsibilities within the Post Assembly area. Skills/knowledge beneficial include engine performance, diagnostics, data analysis, and familiarity with engine test cell equipment.

This is a fully ONSITE role. Salary range: $85,600 - $128,400, determined by experience and qualifications.
