Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to shape the future of our Lockport operations, overseeing stamping, assembly, and robotic welding facilities to optimize production and minimize downtime.

You will develop and implement manufacturing processes, troubleshoot equipment, and collaborate with design and production teams to ensure manufacturability of new products. The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering or 4+ years equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with machining and assembly processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and documentation to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Analyze and interpret blueprints and machine schematics to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Provide technical support and expertise for the setup, operation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Identify and implement solutions for repairing mechanical equipment, minimizing downtime and maximizing output.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure manufacturability of new products and components.
• Direct the design, development, and/or improvement of manufacturing processes for assigned area.
