Job summary

Helion, based in Everett, WA, is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to design, implement, and optimize the production process for in-house capacitors at our on-site facility. You will collaborate with Supply Chain, Production, Engineering, and Test Operations to influence the commissioning timeline for Helion’s first power plant and groundwork for mass manufacturing.

This role reports to the Manager of Manufacturing Engineering in Everett and requires 5+ years in production systems, hands-on

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical work experience in production systems.
• Hands-on engineering or manufacturing experience in rate-based manufacturing.
• Experience communicating with and influencing partners across organizational lines.
• Cradle-to-grave ownership of complex engineering or production scopes.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement rate-based assembly processes with support from Production and Engineering.
• Manage interdisciplinary projects to increase rate and throughput of capacitor line (floor layout, tooling, build cells, large-scale equipment).
• Help develop processes such as non-conformance management, process control, process safety, and asset maintenance for scale-up.
• Gather data (labor hours, cycle times, fallout) to identify bottlenecks and deploy solutions.
• Identify high ROI capabilities including equipment and software to improve manufacturing with cross-functional partnership.
• Collaborate on development of future processes while supporting higher output on current line.
