Job summary

Steelcase is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive product development and launch at our Michigan site. You will apply engineering principles to ensure quality across the manufacturing process and support launches and project teams.

The role requires a 4-year engineering degree and 3–5 years lean manufacturing experience; Windchill and SAP familiarity strongly preferred. You will collaborate across functions and across time zones as needed.

Qualifications

• 4 year degree in an engineering discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience preferred with lean manufacturing experience.
• Windchill and SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles to product development and launch, ensuring quality across manufacturing.
• Lead activities at the site to support launches and meet project schedules.
• Provide cost estimates, PPAP submissions, PFMEA creation, and standard work docs.
• Partner with operations leaders to ensure a successful launch and handoff.
