Job summary

American Rheinmetall is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support program launches, production planning and continuous improvement. You will apply engineering methods to ensure safety, quality, productivity and timely delivery for internal and external customers.

Responsibilities include controlling engineering docs, supporting quoting, developing processes, reducing waste and aiding APQP activities, with cross-functional collaboration across Quality, Weld and Program Management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Five or more years of manufacturing experience and/or training.
  • Experience with precision measuring equipment is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Development, review, and control of engineering documentation (TDP, BOM, Process Flows, PFMEA, Work Instructions).
  • Provide support to estimating on quoting.
  • Develop and validate manufacturing processes and times/standards.
  • Support lessons learned and apply to quotes and standards.
  • Identify tooling needs and assist in tool conceptualization.
  • Support manufacturing with process and document interpretation.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate waste and drive cost reduction.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Weld to validate checks in the process.
  • Support corrective actions and APQP activities with Program Management.
  • Consult with customers to maximize manufacturability of designs.
