Job summary

RFA Engineering is seeking an Entry to Experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our on-site team at a world-class facility in Illinois. The role focuses on applying manufacturing principles to improve efficiency, layouts, and product quality, using CAD tools and data-driven methods.

The candidate will conduct time studies, interpret blueprints, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, production performance, and cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing, or similar engineering degree required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to identify process inefficiencies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with cross-functional collaboration.
• Creativity in developing process improvements, tooling concepts, and productivity enhancements.
• Detail-oriented team player managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to create sketches, drawings, layouts and perform engineering calculations.
• Proficiency reading blueprints, GD&T, and engineering documentation.
• Experience using CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, AutoCAD, Inventor).
• Strong computer skills and data analysis for continuous improvement.
• Ability to collect and interpret production data for decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Conduct time studies, motion studies, and workflow analyses to evaluate operations.
• Interpret drawings and schematics to establish processes and quality standards.
• Review production records and inspection reports to ensure compliance with procedures.
• Support production planning by evaluating workforce and equipment capacity.
• Develop and maintain process documentation and value stream maps.
• Observe operations to ensure safety, quality, and process standards.
