Job summary

RFA Engineering is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team onsite at a world-class facility in Dubuque, IA. The role focuses on improving processes for profile processing, including laser and plasma cutting, blasting, forming, CNC press operations, and part kitting.

You will work hands-on with production teams, lead or support equipment installations, drive automation and process improvements, develop nesting layouts, troubleshoot issues, and communicate results to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a manufacturing/related engineering field
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Familiar with Six Sigma and Lean methodologies
• Self-starter with good communication and collaboration
• Valid Driver's License
• Experience in a manufacturing environment desirable

Responsibilities

• Support and improve manufacturing processes related to laser/plasma cutting, blasting, forming, CNC press operations, and kitting
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency and overall manufacturing performance
• Lead or support projects involving new equipment installation and integration
• Work with production and engineering teams to implement automation and process improvements
• Develop and improve part nesting and layouts to optimize material and production flow
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and develop corrective actions
• Assist with equipment, tooling, and process improvements
• Communicate project status and results to cross-functional teams
