Job summary

Weir is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Newton, MS site. Onsite role focused on improving production flow, implementing automated solutions, and leading cross-functional projects with Facilities Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and Controls teams.

The role emphasizes data-driven problem solving, safety, and continuous improvement, with travel minimal and a strong impact on plant performance. Bachelor's in engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• 5+ years of manufacturing, industrial, or electrical/controls engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience driving process improvements to enhance safety, reduce costs, and implement quality and process control systems.
• Experience with PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens), HMI, and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and improve production flow and quality from scrap melting through to finished product.
• Identify, validate, and implement new technologies and automated solutions to improve efficiency and safety.
• Plan, purchase, and install new equipment; manage project scopes and communicate progress across teams.
• Use data-driven approaches to troubleshoot process control issues and drive problem resolution.
• Support a world-class safety culture with a 100% safety-first mindset.
