Job summary

Airxcel Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Elkhart, IN to support, improve, and sustain manufacturing processes across multiple product lines, collaborating with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams.

Responsibilities include analyzing workflows, developing cost-reducing improvements, and leading continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles. This role requires a Bachelor's in engineering and at least 1 year of manufacturing engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing engineering or related experience.
• Experience with composites, shade manufacturing, or related production processes preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Ability to read technical drawings, BOMs, routings, and engineering documentation.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production systems, and labor standards.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to increase productivity, quality, safety, and efficiency across product lines.
• Analyze workflows, layouts, tooling, fixtures, and material handling to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop and implement cost-reducing process improvements while improving first-pass yield and on-time delivery.
• Support design, commissioning, and sustainment of production lines and manufacturing systems.
• Create and maintain standard work instructions, routings, and inspection points.
