Job summary

INEOS Pigments in Ashtabula, OH is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to provide day-to-day technical support to manufacturing operations, ensuring safety, environmental, quality, production, and cost objectives are met.

You will work with Operators and cross-functional teams to optimize plant operations, troubleshoot production issues, and support process improvements, SAP recipes, and trials. A BS in Engineering and 5+ years in chemical manufacturing are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors of Science in Engineering required; Chemical Engineering preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of related chemical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of unit operations: reactors, distillation, heat transfer, evaporation, drying, milling, filtration, pumping, and material handling.
• Understanding of Flow Diagrams and P&ID and their relation to process changes and upgrades.
• Six Sigma training is a plus; familiar with process safety management and ISO systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Operators and cross-functional groups to optimize plant operations and drive continuous improvement.
• Track performance vs target, investigate deviations, and implement timely solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues with resources and drive collaborative resolutions.
• Ensure compliance with main work processes and develop/improve processes as needed.
• Coordinate all trial activity with R&D and operating unit; participate in HAZOPs.
