Job summary

INEOS Pigments in Ashtabula, OH is seeking a Process Development Engineer in Technology & Innovation to develop innovative process technologies and drive safety, quality, and cost targets. The role leads trials from lab to plant scale and collaborates across Safety, Maintenance, Reliability, and Process Controls teams.

The position requires 7–10 years of engineering experience in manufacturing, a bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical preferred), and strong analytical and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; chemical engineering preferred.
• 7–10 years of demonstrated engineering experience in manufacturing environment, preferably in process development.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams at multiple plant sites.
• Strong analytical and data analysis skills with solid decision-making tools.
• Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, Excel, Minitab; excellent communication.
• Willingness to work a 12-hour shift and lift 50 lbs during trials.
• Ability to lead process design scope development and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety and process principles and life-saving rules.
• Lead and support multiple projects to improve performance at the Ashtabula Complex through lab, pilot, and plant-scale trials.
• Develop and design plant equipment and process changes to meet safety, environmental, production, reliability, quality and cost goals.
• Develop and present project justification.
• Assist in troubleshooting and improving equipment performance with some support.
• Apply statistical methods and Six Sigma principles for data integrity.
• Communicate and present new technologies based on technical reports.
