Job summary

Toledo Tool & Die is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Toledo, Ohio, to develop and improve production processes, tooling, and workflows. The role requires strong CAD skills, process knowledge, and hands-on support for new programs.

You will lead lean initiatives, analyze cycle times, and collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production to sustain safety and quality. This full-time position offers growth opportunities and a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years of manufacturing or process engineering experience.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications.
• Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and improve manufacturing processes, routings, and work instructions for new and existing products.
• Design, specify, and validate tooling, fixtures, gauges, and equipment to support production requirements.
• Lead process improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and structured problem-solving methods (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone) to reduce scrap, rework, downtime, and cycle time.
• Support new product launches, including APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, process flow diagrams, control plans, and run-at-rates.
• Analyze process capability, cycle times, and throughput to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
• Lead equipment selection, installation, commissioning, and qualification for new and replacement machinery.
