The role emphasizes achieving economical production while upholding fit, form, function, and quality standards. Responsibilities include documenting and communicating process information, collaborating with Design Engineering to improve manufacturability, and leading process-improvement projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years manufacturing experience.
• AutoCAD experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.
• Good written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Determine equipment and process design to manufacture products economically while maintaining quality.
• Provide documentation, training, and communication to supervisors and shop personnel.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering to reduce cost and improve manufacturability.
• Lead process improvement projects.
• Investigate procurement of equipment to improve the manufacturing process.
• Process Engineering Change Notices/Requests timely and communicate/investigate changes.
• Improve safety by analyzing current and proposed processes.
