Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
• 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with AutoCAD is a plus; knowledge of Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
• Strong written and oral communication; good interpersonal skills.
• Good computer skills with word processing and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Determine equipment and process design to manufacture products cost-effectively while maintaining quality.
• Provide documentation, training and communication of product/process information to shop personnel.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering to improve product designs for cost, quality and manufacturability.
• Lead process improvement projects.
• Assess and recommend procurement of equipment to enhance manufacturing.
• Process Engineering Change Notices/Requests and communicate changes.
• Improve manufacturing safety by evaluating current and proposed processes.
