Job summary

Hendrickson in Hebron, Ohio seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to improve axle and suspension fabrication, assembly, machining, and paint processes. You will design tooling, support new product launches, and lead safety, quality, cost, and productivity initiatives.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Manufacturing Engineering or related field and 5–8 years of manufacturing experience, with CNC knowledge, tooling optimization, and strong problem‑solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field required.
• 5-8 years manufacturing experience.
• Experience on time studies, line balance and material flow.
• Knowledge of CNC Machine Programming preferred.
• Knowledge of tooling selection and optimization required.
• Welding and robotics experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain effective, robust, ergonomic and safe manufacturing processes.
• Continuous improvement initiatives to reduce variable and fixed manufacturing cost.
• Work with Product Development on design for manufacturability for current and future products.
• Participate on Simultaneous Product Process Development Teams as required.
• Support IATF 16949, ISO 9001 certification initiatives.
• Identify process improvements for safety, cost, quality and productivity improvements.
• Guide cross‑functional activity to aid in daily manufacturing issues.
