Job summary

Variant Partners in Warren, MI is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join a family-owned manufacturing team dedicated to precision machined components for automotive, heavy truck, agriculture, appliance, military, and marine industries.

You will work on CNC turning, rotary transfer machining, and other precision machining technologies, driving process optimization and capital equipment projects while developing new product launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3-7 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Hands-on in manufacturing environment with production personnel.
• Experience with CNC machining, precision machining, metal cutting, or automotive manufacturing preferred.
• Knowledge of Lean, process improvement, APQP/PPAP, PFMEA, and problem-solving methodologies.
• Continuous Improvement or Six Sigma experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Machined components for automotive and industrial customers.
• Support CNC turning, rotary transfer machining, and other precision machining technologies.
• Drive process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead capital equipment and manufacturing automation projects.
