Job summary

Octagon Group in Dallas, TX is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to own the full NPI lifecycle and drive DFM for power distribution equipment. Based at the Dallas site, you will shape manufacturing strategies and build scalable production processes.

You will lead layout design, capital equipment planning, tooling, and hands-on problem solving on the floor. A strong background in electrical or electromechanical manufacturing and Lean methods is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or a related field.
Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment with NPI, DFM and capital equipment planning.
Strong ability to read schematics and understand wiring, terminations and components.
Practical Lean manufacturing experience including value stream mapping and flow optimization.
Experience with UL standards (UL508A, UL67, UL891) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Own the full NPI lifecycle from concept through production release and ensure manufacturability.
Develop and implement production processes including routing, tooling and validation.
Design and optimise facility layouts, workstations, and production flow at the Dallas site.
Identify, justify, and implement capital equipment investments with clear ROI.
Design tooling, fixtures and assembly aids to improve quality and reduce cycle time.
Lead root cause analysis and hands-on problem-solving on the production floor.
