Responsible for routing all new parts throughout the factory, as well as acting as signs of this step in the ECN process. Make sure the correct functions are informed (Work centers, foreman, machinists) of any new parts or changes to existing parts, to ensure all parties are informed. Participate in design reviews with engineers to ensure that parts can be manufactured in house. Work with engineers on any necessary outside processes to ensure products will be made for print. Implement new processes to streamline manufacturing. Work with foreman and machinists on any issues and ways to make any lagging processes more efficient. Learn how to use new machines to better help machinists. Collect machining data from work centers to create a Manufacturing Report. Analyze daily machining data to get a precise number on factory efficiency and parts made. Design and build fixturing and tooling based on number of parts needed to be made. Ensure that manufacturing processes are efficient, up to date, and as cost effective as possible while maintaining the level of quality.
