Job summary

Wipro Limited seeks an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to lead process development, line layout, and workstation design from concept to high-volume ramp-up. You will standardize procedures, develop SOPs, rubrics, and launch checklists while collaborating on DFM/DFA feedback and GD&T practices.

The role requires 7+ years in large-scale discrete manufacturing and cross-functional collaboration across Quality, Facilities, Supply Chain, and EHS.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering.
• Experience: 7+ years in manufacturing engineering, industrialization, or production launch.
• Environment: Direct experience in large-scale discrete manufacturing (e.g., automotive, battery, energy, aerospace, or heavy equipment).
• Collaboration: Proven track record working with cross-functional teams spanning Quality, Facilities, Supply Chain, and EHS.

Responsibilities

• Lead process flow planning, line layout inputs, and workstation design from concept through ramp-up.
• Create and optimize SOPs, work instructions, process flow diagrams, routings, and launch checklists.
• Provide DFM/DFA feedback and guide GD&T/tolerance stack-up practices.
• Lead PFMEAs, control plans, APQP/PPAP inputs, process validation, and root-cause analyses (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone).
• Partner with Equipment and Controls teams to deploy tooling, fixtures, and safety systems.
• Integrate PFEP strategies, sequencing, packaging, and line-side material delivery configurations.
• Troubleshoot bottlenecks and optimize cycle times, yield, and OEE using Lean and Six Sigma.
