Job summary

Leatherman Tool Group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer, Projects to translate product designs into robust, repeatable manufacturing processes. You will develop process prints, tooling, gauging, and fixturing while applying PFMEA, DoE, and DMAIC to improve capability and reduce costs.

Work across Product Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing, and Supply Chain to bring new technologies to the floor and support capital projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling and drafting.
• Knowledge of PFMEA, DMAIC and DoE methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to design fixtures and establish tolerances with GD&T.
• Strong analytical and cross-functional problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
• Lead DFMA feedback with Product Design engineers.
• Design tooling, gauging, and fixturing for processing and inspection.
• Create process prints based on capability and tolerances.
• Apply Lean/Six Sigma tools and perform CAPA, PFMEA, and DFMEA studies.
• Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and supply chain.
