Job summary
Hendrickson is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our Kendallville, IN facility just north of Fort Wayne. The role focuses on developing and implementing shop floor engineering solutions, creating operator instructions, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in machining and welding operations.
The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree and 2–5 years of experience, with a background in lean manufacturing, APQP tools, and AutoCAD/Solid Edge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 2-5 years' experience required.
- Background in team approach to problem solving expected.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 preferred.
- Experience with lean manufacturing environments.
- AutoCAD, Solid Edge, MS Office, Mastercam, Mpact or similar software/programming experience needed.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engineering solutions to shop floor processes.
- Create operator work instructions for processes.
- Support continuous improvement objectives for operations.
- Communicate with hourly workforce to assist with needs and improvements.
- Support welding activities and machining operations.
