Job summary

PDQ, a Dover Company, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and improve manufacturing functions and layouts across all facilities in our division. The role emphasizes capital equipment justification, process flow design, and production transition support.

The ideal candidate will have CAD and Oracle experience, familiarity with ISO standards, and strong communication skills to collaborate with R&D and production teams. Onsite work in Wisconsin is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, Industrial Engineering or Industrial Technology is required.
2+ years CAD experience preferred.
Experience with Oracle or similar manufacturing software preferred.
Understanding of manufacturing processes for engineered products is required.
Knowledge of ISO standards in manufacturing is preferred.
Lean manufacturing experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Blueprint reading skills are required.
Electrical testing experience in manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare economic justification for capital equipment procurement and installation.
Prepare plant layouts and determine process flow.
Develop and improve manufacturing processes for assembly and fabrication.
Provide manufacturing design support to R&D for manufacturability and cost reduction.
Assist in constructing new product prototypes.
Organize transition of new products from R&D to production.
Ensure Assembly and Shipping Work Instructions are created.
Supervise the design and coordination of Assembly fixtures.
Assist in training personnel in proper Assembly techniques.
Prepare pilot production runs.
Approve part releases for Manufacturing.
Establish testing procedures and quality checks for production equipment.
Set up OSHA programs and environmental compliance.
Design storage and material handling systems for production.
Coordinate with Product Engineering for ECNs and communicate changes to employees.
Promote and participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
