Job summary

Welch Fluorocarbon, a UFP Technologies company, is seeking a Design Engineer - Manufacturing in Dover, NH. The role emphasizes end-to-end design, prototyping, and validation of new products and automated processes. You will apply Lean and Six Sigma to optimize performance, cost, and safety while supporting qualification and release to manufacturing.

Responsibilities include developing CMM programs, tooling, and process validation, with emphasis on quality and manufacturability. Travel is <5% as needed; on-site work in Dover, NH.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred.
• Knowledge of plastics fabrication techniques is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new products and processes from concept to production release.
• Manage small development projects with limited guidance.
• Improve existing products through design changes for performance, quality, safety, and manufacturability.
• Create tooling, gauges, and equipment for new products or customer programs.
• Develop and verify CMM programs to meet GD&T requirements.
• Support qualification activities and eventual production release.
