Job summary

Welch Fluorocarbon, a UFP Technologies company, seeks a Design Engineer to lead end-to-end design, prototyping, and validation of new products and automated manufacturing processes in Dover, NH. You will develop CMM programs, support Lean/Six Sigma initiatives, and collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize performance, cost and safety.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in engineering, 1+ year of experience, and strong CAD/CAM skills. Travel <5% of time is possible. On-site role with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering (or Engineering Technology) field.
• Mechanical engineering preferred but other disciplines considered.
• At least 1 year of demonstrated engineering experience.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher preferred.
• Advanced skills in 3D CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and validate new products and automated manufacturing processes.
• Manage development projects with minimal direction.
• Design and verify tools, gauges, and equipment for new products.
• Develop CMM inspection programs and document results.
• Lead Lean and Six Sigma continuous improvement initiatives.
