Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our Cusseta, AL plant. This 1st shift (Mon-Fri) role focuses on developing and implementing efficient, cost-effective manufacturing processes aligned with product specs and quality standards.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or equivalent experience.
• Automated assembly experience.
• Cell layout experience.
• BIW product understanding & experience.
• Sheet metal fabrication and assembly experience.
• AutoCad experience.
• Plexus experience.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, tests or sources and cost-justifies manufacturing methods and equipment.
• Coordinates launch of new or revised products and trains team members.
• Leads lean manufacturing initiatives including cost reductions and productivity improvements.
• Performs process improvement tasks to enhance quality and throughput.
• Supports cross-functional teams on manufacturing-related projects.
