Job summary

Ebara Elliott Energy is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to act as a technical liaison among Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality Assurance. The role focuses on identifying, coordinating, and implementing improved technologies, processes, and designs to optimize fabrication and assembly.

The incumbent will prepare for new manufacturing technologies, support capital projects, and ensure design-to-cost manufacturability in line with ISO quality requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Ten years of manufacturing/assembly experience with progressive responsibilities.
• Experience with multi-axis/mill-turn machine tools is desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of Manufacturing Processes, Machining, Assembly and Tool Design.
• Working knowledge of CAD, CAM and related systems; welding, balancing and inspection helpful.
• Foundry experience and/or Babbitt applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical liaison between Manufacturing and Engineering. Issues instructions on new, improved methods of manufacture.
• Reviews designs for manufacturability, quality, and low cost.
• Participates in cost reduction activities to lower manufacturing costs.
• Recommends process changes to reduce lead time and cost.
• Supports product design with inputs on manufacturability.
• Analyzes complex bill of materials structures.
• Translates engineering drawings into manufacturing operations and routes.
• Develops routings for various components and assemblies.
• Works with CAD/CAM on tooling, fixturing, tooling selection, cutting speeds.
• Documents detailed work instructions and manufacturability guidance.
• Leads deployment of capital projects by outlining machinery needs and layouts.
• Reviews scrap and rework data to eliminate root causes.
• Trains and assists personnel in tasks; travels to review vendors/processes.
