Job summary

DwyerOmega, a global leader in instrumentation solutions, is seeking a manufacturing engineer to help optimize processes across temperature, humidity, pressure, and related systems. You will work with value streams to improve quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.

The role requires a BS in Engineering and at least three years in manufacturing, with hands-on experience in SolidWorks or AutoCAD, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• Minimum 3 years relevant manufacturing experience.
• Experience with SolidWorks or AutoCAD is required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and apply continuous improvement methods to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness.
• Designs, develops, tests or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery, and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
• Supports senior engineers in research, design and development of manufacturing processes including welding schedules, production flow, assembly methods, production equipment and machining.
• Project management of identified capital equipment projects.
• Applies failure analysis to determine root causes of problems and failures and develops solutions or recommends changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.
• Evaluates equipment requirements, performs cost analyses, and proposals for integrating machinery and equipment into manufacturing process.
• Coordinates all pre-production activities including sample evaluation, design qualification and prototype production.
• Provides documentation and detailed drawings for manufacturing and assembly of materials, assemblies, and finished products.
• Prepares documentation for new manufacturing processes or engineering procedures.
• Proficient with design software to perform engineering and design tasks.
• Contributes to the development and implementation of best practice Lean vision, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
• Assist technicians and/or maintenance with troubleshooting, building and/or assembly of various machines and equipment as necessary.
