Job summary

Schneider Electric is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to improve production efficiency and equipment reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will design and optimize systems, implement preventive maintenance, and lead lean continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity and quality.

Responsibilities include coordinating between Design Engineering and Manufacturing, driving cost reductions, and mentoring hourly staff to ensure knowledge transfer and adherence to ASCO

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment as a manufacturing engineer or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing.
• Experience with AutoCAD and / or ProE.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, teamwork environment.
• Strong sense of urgency and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with ISO standards, audits and ISO9001 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize manufacturing systems focusing on process design and capacity planning.
• Implement preventive maintenance to boost equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean methods.
• Analyze production data to identify optimization opportunities.
• Coordinate between Design Engineering and Manufacturing to meet ASCO requirements.
• Lead activities for cost reductions, quality improvements, and issue resolution in operations engineering.
• Troubleshoot electro-mechanical issues during production.
• Train and evaluate hourly staff to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance.
• Develop work cell layouts to improve material flow and ergonomics.
• Document work instructions and manufacturing procedures.
