Job summary

Schindler Elevator Corporation seeks a Manufacturing Engineer in Wayne, NJ to support industrialization, changes, and cost-reduction projects across elevator and escalator product lines. You will apply Lean Six Sigma principles, develop standard work, and manage BOMs within MRP systems.

You’ll collaborate with Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Field Project Managers, and Product/Tool/Process teams to optimize manufacturing processes and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in engineering
• Experience with CAD systems (AutoCAD/Creo/SolidWorks) and SAP Variant Configuration
• Manufacturing process, equipment, routing knowledge
• Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma familiarity
• Strong problem solving and data analysis skills

Responsibilities

• Support industrialization efforts and change management for new and existing products.
• Review and validate proposed product changes and new product implementation.
• Plan and support efficiency improvements and cost-reduction projects through process optimization.
• Utilize Quality and Productivity metrics to identify opportunities and track impact of implementations.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tool sets.
• Coordinate Kaizen events across the facility for continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain standard work instructions and manufacturing BOMs.
• Analyze new equipment and process technologies for elevator and escalator products.
