Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in New Jersey to drive value engineering, process optimization, and Lean initiatives across new and existing production lines. You will analyze CAD data, cost drivers, and manufacturing workflows to deliver data-driven improvements with a focus on quality, cost, and cycle times.

The role collaborates with engineering, sourcing, and IT teams to implement real-time data collection, ERP integration, and advanced manufacturing methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in value engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing costing, and related roles in manufacturing, with Industry 4.0 best practices.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specs, and CAD models to prepare simulations and data sets for manufacturing projects, including insert injection molding and precision components for MedTech.
• Partner with Business Development and Solutions Architecture to drive new business opportunities and improve competitiveness.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, procurement, and accounting to gather cost data for refined quotations and growth.
• Work with IT/ERP teams to expand real-time data collection and adoption of data-driven optimization.
• Develop cost models for materials, labor, and equipment to identify optimization opportunities.
• Evaluate processes and equipment for wholistic efficiency and cost-effectiveness; justify CapEx via ROI analyses.
• Utilize SolidWorks, CAD/CAM for DFM and proposal conceptualization.
• Deploy tools to capture data and enable process optimization modeling.
