Job summary

Xylem is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to plan, develop, and implement manufacturing processes for gas meter assemblies on site in Dubois, Kentucky. You will work in cross-functional teams to improve throughput, reduce waste, and ensure ISO-compliant documentation.

The role emphasizes Lean manufacturing, problem-solving, and capital project execution, including equipment installation and plant layout changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing related field (BSIE/BSME/BSIT/BSMT) required.
• 2–5 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Solid analytical and technical skills with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize repeatable manufacturing processes to reduce cycle time and waste.
• Conduct time studies and prepare standard cost data; justify capital projects.
• Design fixtures and tooling; generate CNC and robotic welding programs.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, Planning and Supply Chain teams.
• Investigate issues using structured problem solving and implement corrective actions.
