Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Streetsboro, OH for a direct hire role. Salary range is $80K–$115K, negotiable based on experience, education, and location.

The role blends office and manufacturing floor work (approximately 60% office / 40% floor). Responsibilities include designing and improving processes, leading projects, applying Lean methods, conducting time studies, optimizing material flow, and supporting ERP with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve manufacturing/assembly processes, layouts, workstations, tooling, and fixtures.
• Lead manufacturing projects independently, including process improvements and equipment implementation.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing, root cause analysis, and A3 problem solving to improve quality and efficiency.
• Perform time studies, line balancing, capacity analysis, and bottleneck identification.
• Optimize material flow, kanban, and inventory replenishment processes.
• Support ERP integration and manufacturing workflows using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Provide hands-on production support and collaborate with shop-floor personnel.
• Support NPI, testing, CAPEX projects, and ISO 9001 compliance.
• Develop standard work, work instructions, and controlled manufacturing documentation.
