Job summary

The Technology House in Streetsboro, OH is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and QA to meet customer expectations. You will work on CAD modeling, mechanical design, plastic part design, and DFMA, while improving processes, writing work instructions, and supporting shop-floor activities with the SAS team.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in an engineering field or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in CAD software.
• Knowledge of plastic part design and DFMA.
• Ability to read 2D drawings with GD&T.

Responsibilities

• CAD engineering/3D modeling, mechanical design, and plastic part design to meet customer needs.
• Improve operational efficiencies and process development.
• Write work instructions as needed.
• Define and translate customer requirements for the shop floor.
• Program and set up CMM if applicable.
• Assist with manufacturing floor layout.
• Train workers as necessary.
• Interact with Project Management and end customer.
• Interpret drawings and customer requirements.
• Maintain quality reports.
• Perform first article inspections.
• Other duties as assigned.
